Making sense of the overwhelm, anxiety and upheaval of perimenopause
This is for the woman who:
Feels lost and doesn’t recognise who she is anymore
Is getting scared about how often she’s losing it with her children
Is drinking more than she'd like and feeling ashamed of it, but has no idea how else to dampen down the intensity of what she's experiencing
Finds herself scrolling divorce forums and 'what if I just left' threads at 11pm (divorce porn)
Feels incapacitated by fears she’s never had before - about work, health, the kids, and small things that wouldn’t normally matter
Is feeling bone tired from holding it all together
Wants to scream ‘I don’t give a fuck’ to everyone and run off into the woods
Doesn’t understand this rage which comes like a force from nowhere, and which feels so overwhelming
If any of this sounds familiar, please know that you're far from alone. These experiences are so much more common than most women realise and that it definitely does not indicate that you’re broken or losing it.
What’s really happening is that the world you have been inhabiting is fundamentally at odds with what women require to thrive. This is, therefore, a societal failing, and absolutely not a personal one.
In midlife, rage commonly intensifies, or erupts from nowhere, perhaps as a form of resistance. In this workshop you’ll understand why and the specific process that we move through in perimenopause that explains it.
You’ll also learn valuable tools and strategies, not just for reducing the intensity of the emotions but also for harnessing their wisdom - because as you’ll discover, there is so much wisdom to anger and rage - it’s a power that few of us were taught, or given permission, to use.
And, you’ll be sent a summary for you to return to when you need it.
Led by Bean Bindloss, BANT-registered Nutritional Therapist, who is learning to harness her anger right alongside you.
Wednesday 21st October | 7.30pm GMT | £22
The workshop will include time for questions, will be recorded and shared afterwards.
